Exam Structure & Focus Areas
USMLE Step 1 - Comprehensive Basic Science
- Format: One-day exam (8 hours), 7 blocks (280 MCQs)
- Passing Score: Pass/Fail (No score reporting)
- Covers: basic medical sciences, pathology, microbiology, pharmacology, biostatistics, and public health.
USMLE Step 2 CK - Comprehensive Clinical Science
- Format: One-day exam (9 hours), 8 blocks (318 MCQs)
- Passing Score: 214
- Covers: Internal medicine, OB/GYN, pediatrics, psychiatry, surgery, preventive medicine, biostatistics, and clinical reasoning.
USMLE Step 3 - Comprehensive Clinical Science
- Format: Two-day exam
- Day 1: Foundations of Independent Practice (7 hours, MCQs).
- Day 2: Advanced Clinical Medicine (9 hours, MCQs + 13 Case Simulations).
- Passing Score: 198 – 200
- Covers: Medical ethics, patient management, biostatistics, clinical simulations.
