International Students
Taylor Business Institute welcomes students from all over the world regardless of nationality, language, religion, sex, or race. Any student who is not a permanent resident or citizen of the United States and its territories will be considered an international student.
Admissions Requirement for International Students Coming From Abroad:
All i International students seeking admission to Taylor Business Institute coming directly from abroad have to should contact the Director of International Student Affairs as soon as possible to arrange to once they decide to study at Taylor Business Institute. Students must complete the following requirements . These requirements must be met before they may be are accepted for admission and be issued a U.S. Immigration SEVIS Form I-20 . is issued.
A . Submit the completed application for admission with all the processing fees ($250 non-refundable) and one half of the tuition for one academic quarter. Tuition will be refunded if the U.S. Consulate does not issue the visa. The student will be expected to return their SEVIS Form I-20.
B. In order for Taylor Business Institute to issue SEVIS Form I-20, the student must submit a financial affidavit of support from a parent, relative, guardian, sponsor, or governmental agency.
- Submit an official transcript of graduation for at least the high school or secondary school level and college level credits, if applicable. Taylor Business Institute also would like one letter of recommendation from a headmaster/principal of high school or college professor.
- International students are not required to submit TOEFL results.
- International students, though not required to submit TOEFL results must take the Career Program Assessment Test (CPAT) and the Accuplacer tests.
The results from the Accuplacer will be accepted in lieu of the TOEFL exam.
- Students must make their own housing arrangements, as the institute does not maintain on-campus housing. However, the school will be able to assist you.
Admissions Requirement for International Students Transferring From a School Within The United States :
International s Students who wish to transfer to Taylor Business Institute from other colleges and universities are welcome. In order to register and be admitted to Taylor Business Institute, transfer students must contact the Director of International Student Affairs, once they decide to study at Taylor Business Institute and complete the following:
A. Submit a completed application for admission with all the processing fees and one half of the tuition for one academic quarter.
B. Obtain a SEVIS Form I-20 from Taylor Business Institute. The SEVIS Form I-20 will not be issued until one half of the tuition has been paid in full for that quarter.
C. Submit an official transcript of graduation for at least the high school or secondary school level and any college level credits, if applicable.
D. Obtain Permission to Transfer Form from school currently attending.
Additional Documents: All International Students
Additional documents required for admission and issuance of SEVIS Form I-20 are as follows:
• SEVIS Form I-20
• Photocopy of passport with I-94
• I-797 (if applicable)
• Transcript from transferring school and evidence of high school graduation
• Evidence of sufficient funds or I-134
Financial Assistance
Some international students may be eligible for Title IV student aid programs. To be eligible, a student must be one of the following:
• U.S. National
• U.S. legal permanent resident card or have an I-151 or I-551 (Alien Registration Receipt Card)
• Permanent resident of the Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands
• Permanent resident of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands
Students who are not in one of the above categories must have one of the following documents from the USCIS:
• I-94 (Arrival-Departure Record) with an appropriate endorsement
• Official documentation that the student has been granted asylum in the U.S.
• Other proof from USCIS that the student is in the U.S. for other than a temporary purpose
Students in these three categories must check with the Director of Financial Aid who can advise the students of eligibility.
