Program Objectives: The Computer Forensics and Cyber Security program prepare students for entry level positions in the distinct field of computer forensics and cyber security. The curriculum includes coursework that will enable students to not only identify security threats but also take appropriate action to prevent the threats, trace/track these computer crimes, acquire data from various storage media, establish sound evidentiary chain of custody, and prepare forensic reports. Graduates of the program may find employment as entry-level computer forensic specialists or computer security specialists.

Career Opportunities: Successful Graduates will qualify for a variety of entry level positions in Federal, State and Local governments; Corporate, Legal, and Accounting firms; and careers in the defense industry. Career fields include: Network Administrator, Computer Forensic Examiner, Network Security Analyst, Intelligence Support Analyst, Computer Technician, Ethical Hacker and other related fields.

Entrance Requirements: Admission Policies on pages 17-24 of the TBI academic catalog.

Training Equipment: Equipment used will include cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) machines for CPR training, computers, first-aid kits, Automated External Defibrillator (AED) machines, and other pertinent equipment used in the criminal justice field.

Class Size:range in size from 15 to 25 students, with the typical class consisting of 20 students.
